Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the clinical potential of using an attachment assessment system; more specifically, through picture projection, by analyzing adult attachment types via attachment projective pictures. The participants in the study comprised 92 volunteers, all mothers, three Seoul¡¯s daycare centers and kindergartens and one in a kindergarten in J-city Jeollabuk-do. In order to evaluate the attachment types by adult, respondent, adult attachment projective picture analysis was conducted. The story content of these attachment projective pictures were then was examined in order to elucidate the difference between the narrative method and the evaluation process according to attachment types. As a result of this analysis, the distribution of attachment types could be confirmed through these attachment projective pictures. In addition, depending on the attachment types, it was found that there was a difference in the narrative method and analysis process in the interaction with the attachment object and in the composition of the story and how it related to the problem situation. In addition, through this, it is possible to provide a wealth of information which can help future researchers and practitioners to better understand parents¡¯ attachment behaviors and interaction methods in parent-child relationships, and by using the picture projection test in children¡¯s counseling sites more extensively, we can also better evaluate the different attachment types of both parents and adolescents.
